Exactly Crazy

i like most monks am very picky about the way i have my party list size and find it's collapsable allies list very annoying

AGreed on this, you cant describe anything anymore, the trade term WTS or WTB becamne quite useless, as they cut short the message. The amount of characters must be set free, and when u hover on an item of interest in the party search shown at full in a pop up window.

AT first I was thrilled by them mentioning it, but the actual implementation is horrible. I hope this is not the way the intended it to work.

Breaking obs mode, removing the ability to vertically resize party bar, randomly rearranging buttons: just a bad update all round, rollback plx.

Okay, my take on the update:

Positive:
Uh, freaking huge map... still oogling.

Negative:

1.Instead of random wts wts omfg wts spam, we now have organized spam starting with "party search: xyz"...
ANet, please... first you did the right thing, now you artificially make spam even more annoying then ever. WTF?!?
It also does not make party search better or more popular in any way, just more annoying.

2. Party Bar fixed/auto resize:
Add a toggle please, or remove, some people used fixed size party windows since day 1, and now their screen layout gets screwed by a so-so improvement. I see some benefit to this, but this has the mentioned considerable drawbacks.

BTW: Thanks for fixing Euro server lag.

@ Kayelyyb , runners that want to keep running will not do this,cause people would go and spam beacons sayin person X is a scammer.
Like curse has said, you probably need multiple votes to be able to kick.

@omniclasm Reputation, like said above runners that want to keep running wont do this, the guy however that wants to make a quick buck to buy that armor will however.Nothing you can do about these, but they are 1 in a 100, so its ok.

Of course you only get runs from known runners.
Its MUCH easier to get scammed as the runner then it is to be scammed by the person being runned, especially missing out on that last 1K at droks,but this is a risk runners know and take.

Agreed, the collapse i dont mind too much (yet) but the reason u mention is important, maybe only collapse when u punch the + sign, not the blacked out area.

One possible reason for the large size is that they are shipping the vaunted graphics update to the game. You can already see some of the new fire effects--for example, in the southwest corner of Sunjiang District (explorable) in the Am Fah-filled place that has burning ruins and smoldering embers. While there, note also the new Turok-like fog effect. I could post screenshots, but it would be more convincing to see for yourselves.

The entire game has become darker. They should tweak the lighting a bit because there are several areas in the game (check out the Undercity) that are far too dark now.

Not a Big update (in terms of content currently available) and yet a HUGE update file wise but still a very good one from Anet

Im glad they finally weakened RoT somewhat, maybe i might actually get around to completing the Mallynx mission so they ive completed Every available quest atleast once with my Ranger. The Party search and Party window updates were long over due, although not perfect yet there a step ion the right direction. *Thumbs up* Nice 1 Anet

The party serch needs a rethink altogether, it started as a shakey building and they havn't repeaired it well. Imo Knock it down for a major rethink, i dont think anyone will miss it. Yes ive turned to W.T.S for now so i can fit more than 3 chars in a sentence i mean whats up with cutting off half your message?

eh party search is actually quite good for actually searching for a party.

Also it seems that they finally fixed the "bug" when taking screenshots without interface while fighting: previously, when you took a screenshot "without the game interface" (shift+print screen for example) while fighting, the "damage numbers" still appeared on the screenshot...now everything is back like before.

Im looking at party search right now in LA 1 and there are 20 trade ads in party search; 3 guilds and 3 missions. Every one of them makes clear sense.

eg

And so on. So you are being nowhere near accurate when you say you cant fit more than 3 characters in a sentence.

It is nice to be able to see trade items without scrolling. Ill definately be looking first to party search for trade items. It is also going to get more people using party for other aspects as well which is good. I also like that the party window resizes automatically.
Misc - not sure if its my imagination, but the graphics look better or more vivid colours or something..

So you don't really mind that people can't describe their items more detailed than, say "Perfect flatbow" or "gold eternal shield" ? To me, this creates an unnecessary brouhaha of people spamming the seller with "tell me the stats" and "can I see" when you could just write the stats down if there were more space to the chat window.
